Biography

Velimir P. Lackovic

Velimir P. Lackovic is a chartered electrical engineer with more than 26 years of experience in EHV/MV equipment and substation protection and control engineering in the UK, Germany, Brazil, South Africa, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and USA. He has expertise in power system modelling, fault level calculations for interconnected power systems, industrial networks and wind farms. Mr. Lackovic is experienced in performing grid code compliance studies involving protection co-ordination, fault clearance time (stability), protection setting policies, relay settings for power systems, wind farms and power generation plants.

Mr. Lackovic began his career in the Electrical Engineering Institute "Nikola Tesla" Belgrade as a Project Engineer working on various distribution system planning projects. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Mr. Lackovic earned a MSc Electrical Power Systems from the University of Strathclyde and a BSc (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the City University, London.
