Mercury Contamination of Groundwater from Coal Ash

Mercury Contamination of Groundwater from Coal Ash

Author: Michael Kuznetz

This course presents the so-called Mercury Phase Transformation Algorithm (MPTA) for electric utility boilers and power plants that use pulverized coal. The MPTA predicts mercury coal ash leachate concentration based on coal mercury content, coal fly ash content and flue gas sorbent injection rate. It can be used in multiple applications employing gaseous mercury emission capture by flue gas adsorbents. The procedures used to derive the algorithm can be used for other leachable metals.

This course presents the following useful information to help you to determine if it is suitable for your continuing education needs. Please review this carefully to ensure you receive useful and beneficial information.
