D. Allen Hughes, PE
Mr. Hughes is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with BS and MS degrees in civil engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in NC and VA, and is a Certified BMP inspector in North Carolina. His engineering career began in 1992. In 1997 he established Piedmont Geotechnical, Inc., PA, and in 2006 he established D. Allen Hughes Engineering, Inc. He has managed both since their founding. During this time, he has gained significant experience in the analysis, design, investigation, special inspections, and testing of subsurface conditions and construction materials including soils, concrete, and wood.
