This course is limited to deep foundations, and provides guidelines for calculating the bearing capacity of soil beneath deep foundations supporting various types of structures and embankments. The training material, which is from the Army Corps of Engineers document “Bearing Capacity of Soils”, is intended as a guide for determining allowable and ultimate bearing capacity. Topics include non-load related design considerations, soil parameters, and deep foundations.

Once you complete your course review, you need to take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of fifteen (15) questions to earn 3 PDH credits.
