Live Webinar: Carbon Adsorption for VOCs

Webinar calendar pdh
Activated carbon adsorption is considered a best available control technology by the USEPA and other regulatory agencies. It is widely used in air pollution control applications to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from low to medium concentration gas streams. Carbon adsorption is especially effective when strict discharge concentrations must be met or for VOC recovery.

This live webinar course presents adsorption theory and provides detailed design procedures for various types of carbon adsorption equipment. It includes guidance on adsorption technologies suitable for VOC removal with the most commonly used adsorber configurations and provides several example problems.

Once you complete your course review, you need to take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of twenty (20) questions to earn 4 PDH credits.

Learning Objectives

This live webinar course is intended to provide you with the following specific knowledge and skills:

  • Familiarity with the most commonly used adsorber equipment
  • Understanding of the process variables and their effect on cost
  • Calculation methods to design a carbon adsorption system
  • Review of adsorption isotherms and how to use them for estimating carbon usage
