This package was designed specifically for Indiana civil engineers looking to satisfy all of the Professional Development Hours (PDH) required by the Indiana State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. Currently, engineers are required to complete thirty (30) hours of continuing education with at least one (1) hour in ethics and one (1) hour in Indiana statutes and rules during each two-year license period. PDH courses should be relevant to the practice of engineering and may include technical, management and ethics topics.

This course provides a review of the rules and regulations for Engineers registered in Indiana as prescribed in a compilation of both the Indiana Code and Indiana Administrative Code.

CE-02-108 Pavement Design for Roads, Streets, Walks, and Open Storage Areas – 7 PDH
This online course provide a brief description of the basic mechanism of each common problem, a description of the typical symptoms that would be observed during a visual inspection, and suggests preventative methods or techniques to prevent further damage.

CE-02-201 Foundations in Expansive Soils – 6 PDH
This course presents guidance and information for the geotechnical investigation necessary for the selection and design of foundations for heavy and light buildings constructed in expansive clay soil areas.

This course introduces the basic principles of identifying problems in existing earthen dams caused by animal activity. It reviews 23 nuisance species and highlights activity that can potentially damage earthen dams beyond repair, emphasizing the concept that delayed control and repair of animal activity usually results in increased total costs of repair.
