Webinar: Global Climate Change

Webinar calendar pdhAuthor: Michael Penzo

This Live Webinar course provides an overview of climate change and its global impacts. Global climate change is a proven scientific fact; it is not a theory, hypothesis or opinion. With the increase in concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (carbon dioxide, methane and water vapor), the average annual temperature of the earth is rising. The effects of global climate change include sea level rise, leading to the inundation of coastal cities, severe weather (hurricanes, tornadoes, drought and floods. While climate change has occurred during earth history, since the industrial revolution in the 1850’s, when we first started the extensive burning of coal and oil, the increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from 260 ppm to 400 ppm has led in an increase in average temperature of 1 degree centigrade.
