Groundwater and Soil Remediation

Webinar: Groundwater and Soil Remediation

Webinar calendar pdhAuthor: Michael Penzo

This Live Webinar course provides an overview of groundwater and soil remediation. Since the early 1980s groundwater scientists and engineers have developed a number of techniques for both containing and remediating soil and groundwater contamination.

In the United States this has been driven by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA or Superfund).

In Massachusetts, this has been driven by MGL Chapter 21E and the Massachusetts Contingency Plan. Other states have their own specific laws and regulations related to the assessment and remediation of contaminated sites.
