North Carolina Rules and Regulations
This course provides an overview of the rules and regulations for practicing engineering in the state of North Carolina. At the conclusion of this course, the student will have a better understanding of the rules of professional conduct, continuing education requirements and other regulatory provisions contained in Rules of State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (the Rules).
In the state of North Carolina, the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (a.k.a. “the Board”) is responsible for implementation of North Carolina General Statute (NCGS) Chapter 89C, “The North Carolina Engineering and Land Surveying Act,” and for making and enforcing rules pertaining to the practice of engineering and land surveying. The rule that enforces NCGS 89C is North Carolina Administrative Code (NCAC) Title 21, Chapter 56 – Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
