Multi-State License Additional Requirements

Multi-State License: Supplemental State Requirements

If you are registered in multiple states, you can purchase one of our multi-state packages to satisfy the continuing education requirements of each state. Select the state-specific course(s) listed below to satisfy the combined requirements of multiple state engineering boards.  These courses address state engineering laws, codes and professional ethics to address the unique aspects each engineering board requires. Simply purchase the multi-state package, and then add the appropriate state specific courses to complete your license renewals. If a state you are licensed in does not appear in the table below, then the multi-state package is not appropriate for that state, and you should contact customer service for assistance.

Alaska Alaska Rules and Regulations 24

Idaho Idaho Rules and Regulations 30 DH units must come from two or more activities listed on state board Web site.
Illinois Illinois Rules, Laws and Ethics 30 Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
Indiana

Indiana Statutes  & Engineering Ethics

30 One PDH must be Ethics related. One PDH must be in Indiana statutes and laws.
Kansas Kansas Rules and Regulations 30 Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
Kentucky Kentucky Rules and Regulations 30
Maine Maine Rules and Regulations 30 Engineering related learning and activities.
Maryland Maryland Rules and Laws 24
Minnesota

Minnesota Rules and Laws  & Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct

24 Must be related to public health, safety, and welfare. Enhance and expand skills and knowledge and abilities of practicing professional. Two PDHs must be in engineering ethics.
Mississippi Engineering Ethics 15 One PDHs ethics training every two years.
Missouri Missouri Rules and Regulations 30 Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
Nebraska Nebraska Rules and Regulations 30 Must be training relevant to practice of Engineering.
New Hampshire NH Rules and Regulations 30 Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
New Jersey Ethics & Standards of Conduct for New Jersey Engineers 24 2 hours must focus on professional practice ethics.
New Mexico Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct 30 2 hours must be in ethics during the two-year reporting period. Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
North Carolina Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct 15 Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
North Dakota North Dakota Rules and Regulations 30 Any activity to expand, improve skills and knowledge relevant to the field of practice.
Ohio Ohio Rules and Regulations 15 The continuing professional development requirement may be satisfied by coursework or activities dealing with technical, ethical, or managerial topics relevant to the practice of engineering or surveying.
Oklahoma Oklahoma Rules and Regulations 30 Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
Pennsylvania Pennsylvania Rules and Laws 24 Continuing professional competency obtained by a licensee should maintain, improve or expand skills and knowledge obtained prior to initial licensure or develop new and relevant skills and knowledge.
South Carolina South Carolina Rules and Laws 30 Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
South Dakota South Dakota Rules and Regulations 30 At least 20 PDH must be in technical subjects that lead to further professional development in the licensee’s field of practice and no more than 10 hours in professional management subjects.
Tennessee Tennessee Rules and Regulations 24 At least 13 PDHs must address public health, safety and welfare issues. Remainder must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
Texas Texas Laws & Rules 15 At least one PDH must be in professional ethics, roles and responsibilities of professional engineering, or review of the Texas Engineering Practice Act and board Rules.
Virginia Virginia Rules and Regulations 16
West Virginia West Virginia Rules and Regulations 30 Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
Wyoming Wyoming Rules and Regulations 30 Must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
