PDH-Pro is excited to announce our new NABCEP PV Associate training package for professional engineers. The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is an international organization that develops standards for the solar industry. NABCEP established the PV Associate program as a way to identify professionals who have demonstrated mastery of the basic terms and operational aspects of photovoltaic systems. This certification is recognized by employers as an indicator of individuals who are committed to the profession, and who have a proven understanding of the key terms and operational aspects of a photovoltaic system.

We developed our NABCEP PV Associate Training package to provide you with a foundational understanding of solar energy principles and important solar design concepts. By completing our 12-hour online training package, you will be able to sit for the NABCEP PV Associate Certification exam. Our training package includes everything you need – the required training, exam fee, and instructor-led exam preparation. After you pass the exam, you will be a certified NABCEP PV Associate, ready to begin the next phase of your career.

About the NABCEP Program

The NABCEP PV Associate Program recognizes individuals who have demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental principles of the application, design, installation, and operation of photovoltaic energy systems. It is intended for professionals who have just begun offering solar services or those in renewal energy jobs for which there is not professional certification. The NABCEP PV Associate credential is earned by passing an examination based on the NABCEP PV Associate Job Task Analysis.

All of the training courses were developed by subject matter expert, John Cromer, PE, who is a certified PV installer and a licensed electrician. Our training package is provided through an alliance with Job Corps who holds a training license with NABCEP. Job Corps is a voluntary program administered by the United States Department of Labor that offers free-of-charge education and vocational training to young men and women ages 16 to 24.
