Continuing Education Requirements for NH PEs

The New Hampshire Board of Professional Engineers establishes continuing education requirements for engineers in the State of New Hampshire. Engineers must complete 30 Professional Development Hours during each two year renewal period. The maximum number of PDHs that can be forwarded to the next renewal cycle is 30 hours. Courses must have content that is focused on ethical, managerial, or technical topics, and they must be relevant to one’s engineering discipline. Professional engineering licenses are renewed on the last day of a licensee’s month of birth.

Renewal period Last day of the licensee’s birthday and the year license was issued. If the license was issued in odd number years it would renew every two years on odd number years. If the license was issued in even number years, it would renew every two years on even number years.
Provider approval The Board does not pre-approve course providers
Course content approval Technical, ethical, or managerial content relevant to the practice of engineering.
Maximum PDH hours to carry over 15 PDH
