Continuing Education Requirements for SD PEs
The South Dakota Board of Technical Professions establishes standards for continuing education requirements for professional engineers in South Dakota. Engineers in South Dakota are required to earn 30 professional development hour credits every two years. The Board requires at least 20 hours of technical courses that are related to the engineer’s area of practice. Ethics courses are accepted but not required.
