Timed & Monitored: Electric Submersible Pumps

Author: Ed Chesny

This Timed & Monitored Webinar  introduces the fundamentals of electric submersible pump systems (ESPs). Key topics include: their use in water wells, geothermal energy heat exchange systems, mine dewatering operations, high-volume surface liquid pumping projects, and oil & gas production operations. The fundamental calculations, basic applications, uses, tools, parts, and design are analyzed and discussed. This course explores nuhttps://pdh-pro.com/webinar/merous downhole applications, surface equipment, and associated tool modifications of these systems.

The course is designed for engineers, technicians, and professionals involved in fluid handling and pump maintenance, offering practical knowledge that can be directly applied in their work environments.

Learning Objectives

This Webinar course is intended to provide you with the following specific knowledge and skills:

  • Discuss the major application of this equipment for water wells, geothermal energy pumps, mine dewatering operations, high-volume surface pumping projects, and oil & gas production operations.
  • Learn the different methods used to pump or lift fresh water, salt water, chemical blends, or crude oil up-hole from the downhole reservoir to the surface.
  • Learn some historical background on Electric Submersible Pumps.
  • Recognize & understand the basic equipment utilized by the ESP artificial lift systems to achieve this goal.
  • Recognize the capabilities & limitations of each type of ESP system.
  • Recognize and identify both the similarities and differences in equipping the various pumping systems.
  • Understand which type of ESP equipment is best suited for efficient production under given subsurface reservoir conditions. As well as the surface  water & tank battery facilities which handle & process the products pumped.
  • Learn how the produced products are handled, isolated, sold, and/or disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.
