This course is part two of a two-part series. It provides guidance on the design and construction of conduits, culverts, and pipes, and the design procedures for trench/embankment earth loadings, highway loadings, railroad loadings, surface concentrated loadings, internal/external fluid pressures, cast-in-place conduits for dams, circular reinforced concrete pipe for small dams and levees, and corrugated metal pipe for rural levees and culverts.

In this 4-hour online course, various trenching and piping methods, including pipe jacking, are reviewed. It discusses piping methods, specifying materials of construction, and appropriate standards. This course reviews design practices and soil mechanics for trenching and piping activities.

Once you complete your course review, take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of twenty (20) questions to earn 4 PDH credit.
